Omari Evans To Enter Transfer Portal

Penn State football wide receiver Omari Evans will enter the transfer portal, according to On3. He’ll have one season of eligibility remaining.

Evans, who spent three years at Penn State and never took a redshirt, finished his time with the Nittany Lions with 35 appearances and six starts, totaling 564 yards and seven touchdowns on 30 catches. He became known for his speed and serving as a downfield option for Drew Allar.

Evans originally committed to Penn State as part of the recruiting class of 2022 as the No. 77 receiver in the country, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He was expected to compete for a top role his sophomore year but never panned out with much of Penn State’s wide receiver corps.

Evans will be the sixth Nittany Lion to enter the transfer portal, joining Feyisayo OluleyeJerry CrossT.A. Cunningham, Cam Miller, and Beau Pribula.
