THON 2025 Showcase Set For January 19

The 2025 annual THON Showcase is set to take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, in Schwab Auditorium. Students will have the opportunity to show off their diverse talents and compete for a spot to perform at THON Weekend.

The yearly event offers performers a chance to win money for their organization’s THON fundraising total and perform onstage during THON Weekend. Performances will span from individual singers, a capella groups, bands, dance groups, and even a sign language performance.

The THON 2025 Showcase is once again sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts. In the lobby of Schwab Auditorium, Dunkin’ will provide opportunities for community engagement before and after the show including a photo booth, Dunkin’ prizes, and free samples of donuts and coffee.

“On behalf of Dunkin’, we are honored to return as the title sponsor of the 2025 THON Showcase and can’t wait to see all of the performances,” Dunkin’s senior field marketing manager Jamie Struwe said. “Supporting this incredible event aligns with Dunkin’s commitment to impact the communities we serve within our region. Together, we aim to contribute to the fight against childhood cancer and bring hope to those in need.”

The judges’ panel is made up of community leaders and members, including THON Executive Director Keegan Sobczak, Four Diamonds child, level six competitive gymnast, and cancer survivor Kionne Abrams, Penn State graduate and mother of Abrams’ Alyssa Abrams, and Penn State influencer and Dunkin’ representative Megan Million.

The year’s show includes a lineup of 14 acts. The following organizations and groups will perform at the event:

Whiplash, Zach Yaros, Orchesis Dance Company, Sign Language Organization, Rince na Leon, Mikey Flynn, JaDhoom, The Statesmen, Penn State Lyrical Line, Natalie McMahon, The Code Conduct, Urban Dance Troupe, I Alley, and The Singing Lions.

At last year’s showcase, Whiplash, Penn State’s all-girl hip-hop dance team, took home the crown and performed during THON 2024.

Tickets are available online or in person at the THON Store.
