Freshens Fresh Food Kitchen To Open At Penn State On February 10

Freshens Fresh Food Kitchen, a casual eatery focused on variety, will open in Penn State’s Engineering Collaborative Research and Education Building on Monday, February 10, the university announced.

Freshens Fresh Food Kitchen’s menu offers vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options such as grilled flatbreads, salads, açaí and rice bowls, and a variety of smoothies. Each dish is entirely customizable and made with balanced ingredients.

Alongside its featured menu, the restaurant will also carry an assortment of Penn State Bakery Products made on campus. For those in need of a quick pick-me-up between classes, Freshens will also offer select Starbucks beverages.

Freshens promises 51 gluten-friendly ingredients, 49 vegetarian ingredients, and customizable meals made entirely without monosodium glutamate, also known as MSG, a flavor enhancer. It will accept LionCash, Campus Meal Plans, Commuter Meal Plans, and the option of credit card payments.

Freshens doesn’t have publicly posted hours yet, though it’s set for a 7:30 a.m. opening on Monday.
