Report: Penn State Football Hiring Andrew Jackson As Defensive Line Analyst

Penn State football is expected to hire West Virginia defensive line coach Andrew Jackson as a defensive analyst, according to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz. Jackson served at West Virginia for four years and previously served as a Penn State defensive line graduate assistant from 2015 to 2016.
While at West Virginia, Jackson helped the Mountaineers rank No. 1 in the Big 12 in sacks in 2023 with 33 for 214 yards. A year prior, Jackson helped develop Dante Stills into the program’s all-time sack leader and a sixth-round NFL Draft pick for the Arizona Cardinals.
Before his time at West Virginia, Jackson coached the defensive line at Old Dominion, defensive tackles at James Madison, defensive quality control at Mississippi State, and defensive line at Fordham. He was previously a defensive line graduate assistant at Penn State, Stony Brook, and LIU.
Jackson will serve under defensive line coach Deion Barnes, who has mentored the likes of Chop Robinson, Adisa Isaac, Abdul Carter, and more.
