SPA To Host GloRilla For Bryce Jordan Center Concert April 3

Penn State’s Student Programming Association (SPA) announced it will host American rapper GloRilla for a concert at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Born Gloria Hallelujah Woods, GloRilla hails from Tennessee and has recently been referred to as “Memphis’ Reigning Hip-Hop Queen.” After releasing her 2022 single “F.N.F.,” she reached top 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for Best Rap Performance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. Shortly after, a remix of her follow-up single “Tomorrow,” featuring Cardi B, reached top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went double platinum.
Before her debut EP “Anyways, Life’s Great” secured No. 11 on the Billboard 200, her single “Blessed” also went gold. GloRilla was the recipient of the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards’ Best New Hip-Hop Artist title, as well as a similar award at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Just before her first commercial mixtape “Ehhthang Ehhthang” peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard 200, GloRilla’s 2024 singles, “Yeah Glo!” and “Wanna Be,” both made it to the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
In 2024, her debut studio album “Glorious” peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, following her third top 40 song, “TGIF.” She recently released “Sticky” with Tyler the Creator, Sexyy Red, and Lil Wayne. Just last month, GloRilla performed on SNL.
GloRilla’s performance will be SPA’s first-ever concert at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Tickets for the event will go on sale at noon on Wednesday, February 19. Lower-bowl tickets are free for all Penn State students, and general admission floor tickets are $15 for students. Tickets for the general public are $25 and are currently only available in the lower bowl section of the BJC.
