Former Penn State Football Wide Receiver Mehki Flowers Transfers To Akron

Former Penn State football wide receiver Mehki Flowers has signed to transfer to Akron, the school announced on Monday.

Flowers, a redshirt sophomore, initially joined Penn State in 2022 as a safety. He appeared in six games in his first two seasons, mainly on special teams recording two tackles.

Heading into the 2024 season, Flowers switched positions to wide receiver. He appeared in eight games in 2024 on special teams but did not record any stats. He transferred to Akron as a safety.
