Hideaway Electric Speakeasy To Push Back Grand Opening To March 1

The Hideaway Electric Speakeasy, originally scheduled to have its grand opening in downtown State College on February 22, has pushed that date back to Saturday, March 1, owner Michael Fullington told Onward State.

According to Fullington, the Hideaway, which sits on 127 E. Calder Way, experienced issues with its coolers for food and drink, meaning it will have to reset before it opens to the public.

The Hideaway will be open this week from Tuesday, February 25, to Friday, February 28, with a limited food and drink menu as it rolls out its options. The speakeasy will open its doors during its standard hours, which run from 4:44 p.m. to 2:22 a.m.

Fullington looked on the bright side of his postponement, saying that he had new plans for a “bigger, crazier” opening than originally planned.
