Your Official THON 2025 (Water) Drinking Game

It’s almost time to dance, folks!

For 46 hours straight, 708 dancers and thousands of other students participating in this year’s dance marathon will ~shake the floor~ of the Bryce Jordan Center.

With a weekend ahead filled with dancing, supporting an important cause, and standing on your feet, staying hydrated is vital for keeping your mind and body active.

Without further ado, grab your reusable water bottle, and follow along with this year’s THON water-drinking game.

  • To start the weekend off strong, take a nice, longgg swig of water before dancers stand.
  • Chug your water for five seconds when dancers officially stand
  • Every time the line dance comes on and you hear “DANCER RELATIONS CAPTAINS TO THE STAGE,” take a hefty sip.
  • Take a sip whenever you hear or see “For The Kids.”
  • Treat yourself to a sip every time you see people blowing bubbles or squirting water guns.
    • Have another if you get squirted.
  • For every “We Are” chant that erupts the BJC, take a sip.
  • Every time hear a Sabrina Carpenter or Chappell Roan song, take a sip.
  • Slam down the entire bottle of water when you treat yourself to a chicken basket or crab fries.
  • Take a sip every hour on the hour. That’s 46 sips total, folks.
  • Every time a Four Diamonds child takes the stage, chug your drink for three seconds. For. The. Kids.
  • Take a sip for every appearance by a famous Penn Stater.
  • For every hand forming a diamond you see in the air, take a sip.
  • Every time you have to wait in line to fill up your water bottle, sip while you wait.
  • At the start of the national act and Pep Rally, take a big swig of water.
    • If you guessed the performer and the hosts right, pat yourself on the back and chug your water for three seconds.
  • Take a sip for every Penn State Athletics team that performs during Pep Rally. Who’s ready to watch Nick Singleton bust a move?
  • Take a sip every time you see the Nittany Lion.
    • Take another if he’s in a fun costume.
  • If President Neeli Bendapudi and/or Governor Josh Shapiro make an appearance, take three big sips of water.
  • After every performance by a band, dance group, dancer, or singer, take a sip.
  • Chug any time a TikTok song or dance comes up.
  • Finish the water in your bottle after every time OPP mops the floor.
  • Have a sip every time a throwback 2000s song plays.

Remember to stay hydrated (and have fun) all weekend long!
