Pat Kraft & Neeli Bendapudi Get THON 2025 Crowd Ready For Pep Rally

Ahead of THON 2025’s Pep Rally, Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi and Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Pat Kraft fired up the Bryce Jordan Center crowd on Saturday evening ahead of this year’s Pep Rally. Two of Penn State’s most notable leaders got attendees ready before Penn State student-athletes competed in a fierce dance-off.

Bendapudi, who’s in her third year as Penn State’s president, missed last year’s THON due to the birth of her grandson. In her return to the 46-hour dance marathon, Bendapudi expressed her appreciation for all the students in attendance.

“We are one family. We look out for each other. We are there for each other when we need it most,” Bendapudi said. “Students — whether you’re dancing, whether you’re helping, whether you’re here cheering on — thank you.”

“Penn State is here for you, and you are here For The Kids,” Bendapudi continued.

Kraft, also in his third year leading Penn State’s athletic department, has appeared at the last two Pep Rallies. While he hasn’t been with the Nittany Lions for too long, Kraft has grown into his role as Happy Valley’s athletics leader.

“It’s for those little lions that need each and every one of us to help them,” Kraft said. “I am so, so grateful for what you’re doing.”
