Pat Kraft Teases Trace McSorley Job Offer From Penn State Football

Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Pat Kraft teased that former Penn State quarterback and program legend Trace McSorley could take a staff position with the program at Saturday night’s THON 2025 Pep Rally.

“Nobody knows it, but I’m dropping it right now,” Kraft said after announcing the THON 2025 Pep Rally emcee might be taking a job “on staff.”

McSorley finished his Penn State career with recorded 31 wins, 720 completions, 9,899 passing yards, and 77 passing touchdowns. He holds Penn State’s records for wins, completions, and more.

McSorley bounced around NFL teams since he was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2019. He’s spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, the New England Patriots, the Chicago Bears, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Washington Commanders. However, McSorley hasn’t been on an NFL roster since the Commanders dropped him from their practice squad in August 2024.
