Philadelphia Eagle Cooper DeJean Donates Over $100 To Various Donor Drives Ahead Of THON Weekend

Whoever says you can’t win a Super Bowl and donate to THON clearly hasn’t heard of Cooper DeJean, more commonly known as one of the “exciting whites.” Despite being an Iowa alum, DeJean’s love for fighting pediatric cancer clearly doesn’t lay with just his alma mater.

Grace Scarnikow and Lauren Pires never thought DeJean would respond to their direct messages about donating to their donor drives, but were shocked to find not only a reply from DeJean but a donation made to their donor drive.

“I honestly wasn’t thinking too much into it. Me and my roommate just thought it would be fun to dm celebs to see if they would donate to our drives and Cooper was the first one I dmed,” Scarnikow said. “I didn’t think he would get back to me at all to be honest, considering he just won a Super Bowl and his dms are probably flooded with people right now, so it was a very very nice surprise when he answered.”

Shocking to say the least, as DeJean has been catapulted into stardom following his rookie season with the Philadelphia Eagles with over 50 tackles and a pick-six in his first Super Bowl appearance against the Chiefs.

With an outstanding rookie year, the defensive back has clearly stayed humble by listening to his fans and donating to an amazing cause. Another THON fundraiser shared her pleasant experience with DeJean.

“I basically wrote him a dm explaining who I am and who my org Trilogy is and what we do,” Pires said. “I talked about THON and its mission. I sent him my donor drive and asked if he’d be willing to donate. He ended up dming me back later that night and donated and I literally freaked out.”
