Brainstorming Penn Staters We Believe Should Be On Hot Ones

It’s no shock that Saquon Barkley crushed the Hot Ones challenge.

While the goal is to complete all wings, it’s still fascinating, and a bit scary, to watch those in the hot seat try and answer in-depth questions while their mouth melts from the infamous hot sauces. This got us thinking: What other Penn Staters would we want to see on the hit channel?

While there are many to choose from, we decided to compile a short list of the most notable Penn Staters we would want to see complete the challenge.

Ty Burrell

Not only is Ty Burrell our generation’s dad, but he’s also a Penn State alum. With his humor and wit, I’m sure he’ll be funny and have at least a few stories from his glory days at Penn State, where he probably fell in love with theater.

Carter Starocci

Sure, Carter Starocci can handle the wrestling mat, but can he handle the sting? It’s no secret that Starocci is one of the best wrestlers to ever come through Penn State, but how well does he do under pressure when his mouth’s on fire?

George W. Atherton

Look, I know he’s dead. However, if we’re thinking about the wildest people to have on Hot Ones to talk about Penn State, then who better than the former president of Penn State? I personally would love to see him try to answer questions about YikYak or what it was like to serve in the army.

Megan Million

I know people would watch this. Not only does Megan Million, the Penn State influencer, seem like she can handle the heat, but I need to know if her personality will stay bubbly while her mouth is on the verge of melting. I also just need to see her in a setting where she can’t run away from the tour groups or from those who don’t play into her bits.

James Franklin

I mostly just put this down because I need to hear James Franklin’s raspy voice try to croak out a Cover 4 formation while chugging milk and ice cream. Plus, do you think his head will become abnormally sweaty like it sometimes does for Sean Evans? There are just so many answers Penn State fans need, and I think hearing him explain the loss to Notre Dame while eating wings will make for solid entertainment.

Ali Krieger

Ali Krieger was not only a key piece of the USWNT, but she also heavily impacted Penn State throughout her time here. It feels like Krieger’s lived a hundred lives while she went to both the Olympics and the World Cup, and at one point was one of the best players in the country.

The Nittany Lion

He would tear that plate to shreds.
