Types Of People In The Crowd At THON 2025

If you read our earlier concourse version of this post, you will know all about the speedwalkers and how this post is going to look. If not, think Dude Perfect stereotypes, THON 2025 edition.
Here are four people you are sure to see standing in the crowd at THON 2025.
The Leaner
“But I’m not sitting bro,” the leaner said (probably).
Everyone knows this person. The dude that thinks as long as you aren’t sitting in a seat, you are safe from the THON police. They bend the rules so much, they forget the point is to be standing For The Kids. A few knees on the ground, maybe their stomach on a few seats, but never just standing upright.
Get your back off the chair behind you and lock in.
Mr. Nonchalant
THON is a funny event in the sense that there are two very different groups on campus when it comes to participation. Some are all in and consistently do over 25 hours, and then there is the group that will come for an hour or two and call it quits.
Whether it’s because they have somewhere better to be or they just can’t handle the emotions, Mr. Nonchalant never lets his peers know his next move and never does the Line Dance.
The Energizer Bunny
Every group needs one of these. The Energizer Bunny is a nocturnal animal that comes into play only during the graveyard shifts. They are the person that is willing to sleep all day when the sun is out so when they show up at 2 a.m. they lift the emotions of everyone around them.
If you want to set the tone at your first THON without staying the whole time, be the Energizer Bunny. Nothing’s better than your friend showing up when you are about to tap out, caffeinated enough to kill a small elephant.
The Rainbow
The majority of organizations on campus participate in THON in some way. Whether it’s media coverage like us, performing on the stage, or cheering on the dancers, there’s a good chance you are in a few groups at THON.
With that being said, there are always people who have overbooked themselves and have five or more different groups to complete shifts with. We call them the Rainbow because of all the different colored shirts they have on during THON Weekend.
