How It Happened

Mike Rhoades rolled out Baldwin, D’Marco Dunn, Freddie Dilione V, Zach Hicks, and Yanic Konan Niederhauser as the starting five for the matchup against Indiana.

Dilione hit a three on the next trip down the floor to extend the early lead to six before Luke Goode answered with a three a few possessions later. Konan Niederhauser continued to dominate early and made another basket in the paint on the next possession as the teams started to trade buckets.

Trey Galloway converted a layup off a turnover to tie the game at 10-10 and then dunked on the next trip down the floor to give the Hoosiers their first lead of the night. Kern tied the game with a layup before Indiana went on a 5-0 run to go up 17-12. Penn State responded with a 10-0 run that was capped off with a layup from Hicks before Kanaan Carlysle ended the run with a layup and a subsequent three that tied the game at 22-22.
