Brainstorming Other Names For The Field At Beaver Stadium

Well, folks, it’s official. It’s now “West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium.”
With Penn State Athletics selling the naming rights to its football stadium, plenty of fans voiced their opposition to the move. We decided to brainstorm our own ideas for what to name Beaver Stadium’s field.
Onward State Field At Beaver Stadium
Let’s get this out of the way. We here at Onward State would be happy to put our name on the sidelines at Beaver Stadium. Our budget, of course, is well below $50 million, but we still think it would be nice.
We can also offer you some pretty sweet merch, Pat Kraft (you’ll still have to pay for it).
The Field Field At Beaver Stadium
Want to really confuse your fans? Name the field at Beaver Stadium after The Field Burger & Tap, the restaurant that hosts Penn State’s weekly Coaches Show.
Just imagine Gus Johnson saying, “We’re here live from The Field Field At Beaver Stadium as the Penn State Nittany Lions prepare to take on the Wildcats of Villanova.” It’s enough to make a grown man cry.
Carl’s Jr. Field At Beaver Stadium
Every time someone says “Carl’s Jr. Field at Beaver Stadium,” Penn State gets a paycheck. It’s a really great way to make money.
Beaver Stadium
Did we really have to give the field a name? Sure, $50 million is nice, and Penn State isn’t the first program to sell the naming rights to a field, but it makes the program feel just a little more corporate and less traditional.
1-0 Field At Beaver Stadium
Sure, this name is only good for as long as James Franklin’s tenure as head coach lasts, but it’s a great way to set the standard for Penn State football.
Players won’t just walk out under a banner that reminds them to go 1-0, they’ll play on a whole field telling them to go 1-0. That’s the path to a national championship.
Bill O’Brien Field At Beaver Stadium
Want to honor a former Penn State coach? Honor Bill O’Brien, who took the Penn State head coaching job when nobody else wanted it.
Say what you will about O’Brien leaving town for Houston in the middle of Christian Hackenberg’s keg stand, but he kept the program together for two years in a way that few others could.
Paterno Field At Beaver Stadium
Yup.
