Report: Juwan Johnson Signs Three-Year Extension With New Orleans Saints

Former Penn State football tight end Juwan Johnson has signed a three-year contract extension with the New Orleans Saints worth $30.75 million, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. This includes $21.25 million in guaranteed money and could reach up to $34.5 million.

After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, Johnson joined the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent. In his four seasons with the Saints, he recorded 146 receptions for 1,622 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns.

Johnson played for the Nittany Lions from 2015 to 2018 before transferring to Oregon for his final year of eligibility. During his time at Penn State, he recorded 81 receptions, 1,123 receiving yards, and two touchdowns.

Johnson will look to keep up his momentum with a Saints team that went 5-12 last season. Last season, he recorded 50 receptions for 548 yards and three touchdowns.
