Death By Chocolate & Bittersweet Mint Barred From Berkey Creamery ‘Flavor Madness’ Bracket As Voting Opens

March Madness just got sweeter, folks.

Berkey Creamery’s eighth-annual “Flavor Madness” bracket is now accepting votes for the 2025 “Scoop Champion” ice cream flavor.

The Creamery chose 16 of its 20 flavors to go head to head to be crowned this year’s winning flavor in a bracket-style tournament.

To give other flavors a chance at gold, the Creamery announced that Death By Chocolate and Bittersweet Mint will retire as all-time Flavor Madness finalists and will not be included in this year’s tournament. The two popular flavors and past winners have secured a spot in the Creamery’s “Hall of Flav.”

Death by Chocolate has dominated every year, taking home the top prize for the past seven years, with Bittersweet Mint coming in close second.

Voting will open at 10 a.m. every Monday and close at noon every Friday for the next four weeks.

Those who participate in voting will receive a discount code to use on the Berkey Creamery website along with an entry into a drawing for the chance to win a small cooler of six free pints of ice cream. A new winner will be selected at random each week.

The winning flavor will be announced on Monday, April 14, followed by a discount on the winning flavor from April 15 to 18.

To cast your vote and for the complete contest rules, check out the Creamery’s website.
