SPA & R-VOICE To Host Influencer Drew Afualo For March 20 Lecture

Penn State’s Student Programming Association (SPA) and the Relationship Violence Outreach, Intervention, and Community Education (R-VOICE) Center announced they will host influencer and podcaster Drew Afualo for a moderated conversation at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, in the HUB’s Alumni Hall.

Known for her viral TikTok content and “The Comment Section” podcast, Afualo has gained a massive following for her advocacy against misogyny and unapologetic humor.

In recent years, Afualo has risen to internet fame and has achieved career milestones, including being honored as a Next Generation Leader by TIME Magazine, a Forbes Top Creator of 2023, and Adweek’s Digital & Tech Creator of the Year.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the lecture is in collaboration with several other on-campus resources and organizations, including the Paul Robeson Community Center, the Center for Social Change, the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Caucus, Culture Central, and the Indigenous Peoples Student Association.

The R-VOICE Center supports students who have been impacted by sexual and relationship-related violence while educating the community on gender equity issues.

Free tickets for the event are available for students through OrgCentral.
