Report: Lady Lions Guard Moriah Murray To Withdraw From Transfer Portal

The Lady Lions might just have a roster next year.

Penn State women’s basketball guard Moriah Murray has withdrawn her name from the transfer portal and will return to the Lady Lions, according to On3’s Talia Goodman.

Murray started her collegiate career at Drexel but transferred to Penn State before registering an appearance for the Dragons.

Murray played in all 35 of Penn State’s games in her 2023-24 sophomore season, despite not starting once. During her sophomore season, Murray averaged 4.3 points per game while shooting 35.3% from deep on 12.5 minutes a night.

Murray started 27 games for the Lady Lions during her junior season, averaging 10.4 points per game while sinking 71 three-pointers on 37.8% shooting from deep. She also bumped up her production in rebounds and assists, averaging 2.4 and 2.7, respectively.

With Murray returning to Penn State, the Lady Lions will have five players from last year’s roster on the team as nine players, Murray included, hit the portal after the 2024-25 season.
