[Photo Story] Penn State Men’s Hockey 2024-25 Season

It was a good season in Hockey Valley.

Penn State’s men’s hockey season officially rounded off after its Frozen Four loss to Boston University. In the end, the Nittany Lions finished their season 22-14-4 and made it to the Frozen Four for the first time.

As usual, our photographers were at Pegula Ice Arena and barns around the country to capture shots, goals, celebrations, and all the in-betweens. Let’s take a look back at a successful season on the ice through the lens of our photographers.

Our photographers got up close with our Nittany Lions.

Although their season had a rocky start, the Nittany Lions continued to fight hard.

At each face-off, Penn State fought for the puck, winning 54.2% of the time.

There were a few tussles on the ice.

With the 1,282 shots on goal…

…there were celebrations for the 138 goals.

The goaltenders put in the work, too, making 1,118 saves.

Despite losing against Boston University, the Nittany Lions still had a successful season.
