Report: Penn State Football Defensive Lineman Joseph Mupoyi Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State football defensive lineman Joseph Mupoyi has entered the transfer portal, per 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

The redshirt sophomore appeared in two games in the 2024 season, where he recorded one tackle against Kent State in September. He also won the coaching staff’s Developmental Squad Defensive Player of the Week in the lead-up to the Ohio State and Boise State games.

Mupoyi was the 40th-ranked edge rusher and No. 2 overall prospect in Connecticut coming out of St. Thomas More in the 2023 recruitment class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. The 6’5″ and 285-pounder committed to the Nittany Lions in December 2022.

Mupoyi has three years of eligibility remaining.
