Report: Penn State Hoops Forward Mason Blackwood Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State men’s basketball forward Mason Blackwood is set to enter the transfer portal, per Sam Kayser. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Blackwood received a decent amount of run in the back half of his freshman campaign, playing 318 minutes in 26 games. He averaged 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game on 49.1% shooting from the field. He recorded a season-high 14 points against Wisconsin in January.

Blackwood committed to Penn State as a three-star recruit out of New Hampton High School in New Hampshire. He chose Happy Valley over Rutgers. He now calls it quits after one season donning the blue and white, joining Melih Tunca and Freddie Dilione V in the quest for a new home.
