Penn State Libraries To Host ‘De-Stress Fest’ Events Through May 8

With finals week approaching in just a few days, students are more stressed than ever. Penn State Libraries have students covered with ‘de-stressing’ events at five different libraries at University Park through the end of the semester.

Running from Monday, April 28, through Thursday, May 8, Penn State Libraries will provide students with fun games, free snacks, and more. Here are some of the events taking place throughout the week for those in need of a break from their overwhelming work.

Tuesday, April 29, To Thursday, May 1, At The Architecture & Landscape Architecture Library

On the first floor of the Stuckeman Family Building, folks can find a variety of things to help take a break from their work. Those looking to de-stress will be able to find puzzles, snacks, and different crafts. These will be available daily from Tuesday, April 29, through Thursday, May 1.

Sunday, May 4, To Tuesday, May 6, At Pattee & Paterno Library

In the Leisure Reading Room of the Pattee Library, Penn State will offer free snacks, coffee, and crafts to those looking for something to take the edge off their studying. These free items will be available from 3 to 8 p.m. from Sunday, May 4, to Tuesday, May 6.

Monday, May 5, To Thursday, May 8, At The Engineering Library

In 203 ECoRE Building, coloring, puzzles, and crafts will be available for students looking for a bit of a break. You can find them daily from Monday, May 5, through Thursday, May 8. Snack and beverages will offered, but only available while supplies last.

Monday, May 5, To Thursday, May 8, At The Fletcher L. Byrom Earth & Mineral Sciences Library

Available in 105 Deike Building will be coloring, Legos and jigsaw puzzles all day from Monday, May 5, to Thursday, May 8. Snacks will also be provided while supplies last as well as a food pantry and school supplies for those who may need them. Plenty of studying space will also be available for reservation.

Monday, May 5, To Thursday, May 8, At The Physical & Mathematical Sciences Library

The Physical and Mathematical Sciences Library will have a variety of items for students to de-stress with coloring and jigsaw puzzles, origami, and wellness boxes. These will be available throughout the day from Monday, May 5, through Thursday, May 8.

Those in search of these tools can find them in 201 Davey Lab.
