Your Movin’ On 2025 Forecast

Congrats, Penn State. The spring semester is just about finished. Now, as the last day of classes approaches, it’s time to jam out at Movin’ On 2025.

Penn State’s annual end-of-semester music festival is on Friday, May 2. But before you venture across campus to sing and dance along to this year’s stacked lineup, you’ll need to check the weather and prepare for what Mother Nature has in store.

According to AccuWeather, Friday’s forecast calls for a high of 77° and partly cloudy skies with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm. During the day, AccuWeather is calling for “very high” UV index of eight, so be sure to pack some sunscreen. Wind gusts are expected to reach 30 mph.

With an 88% of precipitation and a 35% of thunderstorms during the day, Friday is expected to feature plenty of hail and flooding downpours.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the high 50s overnight, though scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected. Chances of precipitation will drop to 67%, and wind gusts will drop to 13 mph. If you’re heading to the IM Fields on Friday, consider bringing a hoodie or heavy jacket to keep you dry by the time The All-American Rejects take the stage.
