Your Guide To Movin’ On 2025

The last day of classes is officially here, Penn State!

To celebrate the end of the school year, Movin’ On is bringing some big artists to campus. For the last 50 years, one of the largest student-run music festivals has taken place on the IM Fields for students to hang out, listen to music, and celebrate the end of the year. The festival gives seniors one last goodbye as they ~move on~ from Happy Valley and step into the real world.

To make sure you’re fully prepared for the day, check out our guide below before attending one of the most anticipated events of the year.

The Details

Gates will open at 3:30 p.m. along with vendors, inflatables, food trucks, and activities offered. The festival will end promptly at 10:30 p.m. The festival is located at the IM Fields near Jeffrey Field in the east corner of campus.

Admission is free for those at least 18 years old, however, you must have your student ID or a government-issued ID handy for when you get to the gates.

In addition to drugs and alcohol, pets, lawn chairs, balls, tents, video recording, professional cameras, noisemakers, and camping are all prohibited. You can bring an empty, reusable water bottle to fill at the refill stations inside the gates.

Your bag must be a clear tote (12″ x 12″ x 6″), plastic zip-top bag (11″ x 11″ x 0″), wallet, or clutch (6.5″ x 4.5″). Fanny packs and mesh bags are not allowed.

Given the forecast, ponchos and rain jackets are encouraged, but umbrellas are not allowed. The festival is rain or shine; however, in the case of extreme inclement weather, the festival could be delayed or canceled.

This year, Celsius and Raising Cane’s will have tents with games, giveaways, and prizes.

Parking

Parking will be available for $10 at Stadium West Parking Lot, and for $2 for your first hour and $1 each hour after in East Parking Deck. No prepay options are available.

The Lineup

The All-American Rejects

The All-American Rejects are Movin’ On’s headliner and will perform last. The group is best known for their hits “Dirty Little Secret,” “Gives You Hell,” and “Move Along.” The group consists of lead vocalist and bassist Tyson Ritter, guitarist Nick Wheeler, rhythm guitarist Mike Kennerty, and drummer Chris Gaylor. Over the past two decades, the band has released four studio albums and has created cult-classic 2000s songs.

Pusha T

Pusha T, who will precede The All-American Rejects, has been featured on tracks such as “Runaway,” “Don’t Like 1,” and “Mercy 1,” while also delivering standout solo work on his albums “Daytona” and “It’s Almost Dry.” The rapper has achieved two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Album and four nominations overall, alongside collaborations with Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, and Jay-Z.

Baby Tate

Atlanta-based rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer Baby Tate will showcase songs like “Hey, Mickey!,” “Slt Him Out*,” and “Beckham,” featured in HBO’s hit TV show Euphoria. Most recently, she released her EP “Baby Tate Presents: Sexploration the Musical” in 2023, after joining Charli XCX as an opening act for the North American leg of Crash: The Live Tour.

Claire Rosinkranz

Claire Rosinkranz, presented by the Student Programming Association (SPA), will take the stage as the second act of the day. Rosinkranz will perform her hit songs “Don’t Miss Me,” “Frankenstein,” and “Hotel,” to name a few. Back in 2020, Rosinkranz signed with Republic Records 2020 at just 16 years old and has been making music since the age of 8. The singer-songwriter gained widespread recognition in 2020 with her breakout single “Backyard Boy,” which was featured in over 1.3 million TikTok videos, earning nearly 300 million Spotify streams.

Fez

To kick off the night, Battle of the Bands winner Fez will be featured on the Movin’ On stage, opening the festival. Known for playing at local house shows, the post-renaissance-scuba rock band will get a change of scenery at the festival. The group is set to perform a slate of original songs to kick off the night.
