Your Spring 2025 Commencement Weekend Weather Report

Graduation is here, folks.
As graduates prepare for their new beginnings, Happy Valley will send them off with some cloudy but warm conditions throughout the weekend.
All graduation ceremonies will be held at indoor locations, so with a bit of rain, there’s no need to fret.
Let’s look at the latest forecasts for graduation to prepare for this exciting weekend.
Friday, May 9
Friday will be a cool, rainy day this weekend with a high of 57° according to AccuWeather. The expected RealFeel and RealFeel Shade are 54° with a maximum UV index of two.
With an 89% chance of rain and an 18% chance of thunderstorms, be sure to remember an umbrella or rain jacket on your way out the door. Clouds will be covering 100% of the skies above with wind gusts up to 22 mph.
By the evening, temperatures will get cooler along with some potential rain. The RealFeel is expected to drop to 37° with a 67% chance of rain.
Saturday, May 10
On Saturday, the weather will feel warmer with a high of 71° with sunny, partly cloudy skies. The sunny conditions have the RealFeel at 72° with a RealFeel Shade at 67°. Make sure you put on sunscreen before heading out, with the UV maximum reaching a very high of nine.
There isn’t any expected rain to hit on Saturday, but wind gusts up to 32 mph will be sure to keep you cool while having fun in the sun.
As the sun starts to set, so will the temperature. The RealFeel is expected to drop to 45°, and wind gusts are expected to drop to 16 mph.
Sunday, May 11
Sunny skies will be coming out as a Mother’s Day special, and to close out the weekend of celebration. The high is expected to hit 74° with a RealFeel of 78° and a RealFeel Shade of 72°.
As those start to make their way out of Happy Valley, you can expect a maximum UV index of nine, and up to 15 mph gusts of wind. As a parting gift, there will also be a 0% chance of rain for the day.
The evening brings chiller temperatures with a RealFeel expected to drop to 46° and wind gusts up to 8 mph.
Sunday wraps up the last of the commencement ceremonies, so graduates can enjoy their final moments in a sunny and beautiful Happy Valley.
