Four-Star Athlete Pierce Petersohn Commits To Penn State Football

Class of 2026 four-star athlete Pierce Petersohn has committed to Penn State football, Hayes Fawcett of On3 announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Dodge Center, Minnesota, native stands at 6’5″ and 195 pounds. Petersohn is the No. 3 player in the state, the No. 21 athlete in the class of 2026, and the No. 342 player nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

According to MaxPreps, the rising senior recorded 618 total yards and eight touchdowns in four games as Triton High School’s quarterback last season. He also had nine total tackles and an interception as a safety. Like former Penn State tight end Tyler Warren, Petersohn, who plays quarterback in high school, is considered a promising tight end prospect for the Nittany Lions.

Petersohn joins the eighth-ranked 2026 class in the country, per 247Sports. He is the second player committed listed as an athlete alongside fellow four-star David Davis.

The Minnesota football and track star chose the Nittany Lions over Minnesota while also holding offers from Duke, Iowa, and Iowa State. To see what he can bring to Happy Valley, check out his Hudl highlights here.
