State College Borough Announces Parking Changes Ahead Of Fourth Of July

Happy Fourth of July, folks!

With the holiday and long weekend, the Borough of State College is adjusting its parking regulations to help accommodate the influx of people.

The Borough will lift its current rules that prevent parking from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., along with one and two-hour parking restrictions. The restrictions will lift starting at 2 a.m. on Friday, July 4, and return at 6 a.m. on Monday, July 7.

All other parking restrictions will stay in place for the duration of the weekend. These rules include:

  • No parking on sidewalks, in a crosswalk, in front of a driveway, or within an intersection
  • No parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection
  • No parking 30 feet from a stop sign
  • No parking over 12 inches from the curb
  • No parking against traffic

Any spots labeled “No parking” will still be illegal to park in.

For any questions or concerns, you can contact the State College Parking Department at (814) 278-4769.

Park smart and have a safe holiday weekend, folks!
