The inaugural role “will provide strategic advice and partner with university and academic leadership to facilitate the achievement of Penn State’s priorities,” according to the posting on WittKieffer.

The position would support the Provost to prioritize cross-campus collaboration, strategic financial planning, and operational effectiveness. Their daily job would include “coordinating senior staff, managing special projects, fostering innovation, supporting academic leaders, and leading executive talent management efforts.”

The SVP/PCS would represent the Provost’s Office in national forums and would be a leader on higher education strategy and policy.

An advanced degree is required, and a terminal degree is strongly preferred. Applications should include e CV or resume and a letter of interest addressing the themes from a leadership profile.

All applications, nominations, and inquiries are invited and need to be submitted by September 5. They can be directed to Suzanne Teer, Sandra Chu, and Cathryn Davis at [email protected].
