Penn State Hoops To Play Pitt December 21 In Hershey

The Keystone State battle is officially back, folks.

Penn State men’s basketball will play Pitt inside the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on December 21, it was announced Thursday.

This is the first time that both programs will square off against each other since 2017, when Penn State came out victorious at the Legends Classic in Brooklyn. It will be the 149th meeting between both teams as the Nittany Lions hold a 76-72 advantage over the Panthers in the all-time series that dates back to 1906.

This is the sixth confirmed game of Penn State’s non-conference schedule, with five more still to be announced. Along with Pitt, Penn State hoops is set to have its home opener against Fairfield on Wednesday, November 3. It will visit New Haven on November 8 before hosting Boston University and Harvard as part of a multi-team event with dates still to be determined. The Nittany Lions will also play a neutral-site game at the Hall of Fame Showcase on Monday, November 22, against Providence.
