Penn State Football Long Snapper Tyler Duzansky Named To Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List

For the second consecutive season, Penn State football long snapper Tyler Duzansky has been named to the watch list for the Patrick Mannelly Award, which is given annually to the nation’s best long snapper in college football.

Last season, Duzansky only had one tackle but helped Penn State’s punt unit rank sixth in the Big Ten in punt yards. The Nittany Lion earned All-Big Ten third team by the media and All-Big Ten honorable mention by the coaches.

He helped Ryan Barker go 15-for-18 on field goal attempts and 48-of-49 on extra point attempts while also assisting Riley Thompson to post a 42.8 punt average and land 17 punts inside the 20.

Duzansky has appeared in 36 games in his career, including 29 games as Penn State’s primary long snapper over the last two seasons. In 2023, Duzansky recorded six tackles, the most by any long-snapper in the country.

Duzansky, who is now in his last year of eligibility, took over the spot when Chris Stoll left for the National Football League. In 2022, Stoll won the award before signing with the Seattle Seahawks.
