Nittany Lions In The NFL: Preseason Roundup

As the 2025 NFL season approaches, the preseason schedule has come and gone for the Nittany Lions, looking to prove themselves.
In the three-week-long preseason schedule, Penn State football players have been battling for a spot on the 53-man roster of various NFL teams. Now, they await final roster cuts to see if they have made their respective teams for the regular season.
Here’s how some Penn State football alumni fared in this year’s NFL preseason.
Mitchell Tinsley, Cincinnati Bengals
Tinsley arguably had the best performance of any Penn Stater during the 2025 preseason. Although he only played in two games, the Cincinnati Bengal took on his former team in the Washington Commanders, where he tallied five receptions on six targets for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars
Washington played in two games for the Jacksonville Jaguars. In his first game, Washington secured three catches for five yards. Against New Orleans in his second game, the Nittany Lion found the endzone along with two total receptions and 19 yards.
Sean Clifford, Green Bay Packers
Clifford played in all three games for the Green Bay Packers this preseason. Although he had limited snaps, he went for a combined nine completions on 17 attempts for a 52.9 % completion percentage and resulting in 44 passing yards. On the ground, Clifford found success with 15 rush yards and a rushing touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts.
Adisa Isaac, Baltimore Ravens
Although he suffered an elbow injury in his second preseason game, Isaac performed well with the playing time he received for the Baltimore Ravens. After limited snaps in the regular season, the Nittany Lion secured five total tackles, including two solo tackles, a sack, and a quarterback hurry. Isaac will aim to bounce back from his dislocated elbow that will sideline him for a “few weeks at least.”
KJ Hamler, Buffalo Bills
Hamler, who has now spent a full year with the Buffalo Bills, seized his opportunity during the preseason. The Nittany Lion played in three games, tallied five receptions on six targets for 79 yards, and scored a touchdown against the New York Giants.
Kobe King, Minnesota Vikings
First-year player, Kobe King, who the Minnesota Vikings selected with pick No. 201 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, showed out before his first regular season. The Nittany Lion played in all three games and made 13 total tackles, including nine solo tackles, one defended pass, and one quarterback hurry.
Jaquan Brisker, Chicago Bears
Bears safety Jaquan Brisker had a nice showing with limited snaps this preseason. In two games, Brisker started both times and secured six total tackles, including five solo tackles.
