Former Penn State Hoops Guard Nick Kern Jr. Signs With Sheffield Sharks

Former Penn State guard Nick Kern Jr. has signed an overseas contract with the Sheffield Sharks, the team announced on X on Friday. The Sheffield Sharks play a part in the Super League Basketball.

Kern spent two years in Happy Valley after transferring from VCU when Mike Rhoades took the head coaching job at Penn State. The St. Louis, Missouri, native averaged 10.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for the blue and white.

The guard also played two seasons with VCU. In his second year with the Rams, he recorded 5.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and .8 blocks.

Kern followed Ace Baldwin Jr. to Penn State along with Rhoades and now continues his basketball career across the pond.
