Your Guide To Penn State Fall Welcome Week 2025

Welcome back, folks!

Whether you’re a fourth-year student dreading the inevitable graduation or an incoming first-year anxious for your first week of college life, there are plenty of activities for you to enjoy in your first week back on campus!

Here’s a list of some events that Penn State has to offer this welcome week.

Tuesday, August 26

The College of Health and Human Development is holding First Day of Class Photos with a personalized whiteboard in the Henderson Building from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will also be a MoneyCounts webinar happening from noon to 1 p.m., which was designed to assist current and prospective students and parents with navigating the complexities of college expenses. You can register for the webinar here.

Wednesday, August 27

There will be a Results Will Vary* Encore Performance at the Schwab Auditorium at 8 p.m.

Thursday, August 28

There will be a Kick Off with Consent event to prepare students for Penn State Football. The kick-off tailgate will be full of free food, games, and other goods. They’ll have quick tips on staying safe at games, looking out for each other, and showing respect and Happy Valley Hospitality this upcoming season and beyond!

The annual LightsUP welcome concert will be happening on the HUB Lawn from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The concert is presented by the Student Programming Association (SPA) and Movin’ On. LightsUP will have a variety of festival attractions, and performers, with Quavo headlining the event.

From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Findlay and Pollock Commons, the EcoReps will be serving free Berkey Creamery to students. Ice Cream will be served in compostable bowls to help students learn about composting efforts here at Penn State along with informational tables and games to help students learn more about sustainability.

Friday, August 29

The College of Health and Human Development will be having Donuts with Deans from 9 a.m to noon in 4 Henderson Building.

With all these upcoming events, there is something for everyone to enjoy this Welcome Week!
