Penn State Football Announces Multiyear Sponsorship Deal With Amica Mutual Insurance

Penn State football has inked a new multiyear deal with Amica Mutual Insurance, the company announced on Friday.

The deal, which initially began last week, makes Amica Penn State’s Official Auto, Home, and Life Insurance Partner. The deal, which was brokered by Playfly Sports, also includes two on-field logos behind the end zones in Beaver Stadium. Fans first took notice of the new designs in the Nittany Lions’ matchup against FIU on September 6.

While the specifics of the deal are not fully released yet, Amica will have entitlements to the football team’s arrival and signing day. The insurance company will also have additional signage around Beaver Stadium and multiple other athletic facilities.

“We’re excited to bring the highest-quality insurance as well as engaging experiences and educational outreach to Penn State fans, all while celebrating shared values of integrity, excellence, and community,” Amica said in its press release.

The deal comes just days after Penn State signed a $300 million deal with Adidas to complete the switch from Nike. The two deals follow the recent college athletics trend of making money wherever programs can to support NIL funds.
