James Franklin Set To Appear On College GameDay On Saturday For Exclusive Interview

After being fired just days ago, former Penn State head coach James Franklin is set to appear as a guest on ESPN’s College GameDay at the University of Georgia this Saturday.

Franklin will give an exclusive interview in Athens before No. 5 Ole Miss takes on No. 9 Georgia at 3:30 p.m. This marks Franklin’s first public appearance since his postgame interview following the Northwestern loss, a day before he was fired.

He will rejoin Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban, Rece Davis, and Desmond Howard, though under far different circumstances than when he appeared on the show just three weeks ago before Penn State’s White Out matchup against Oregon.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin are also scheduled to appear on the show, along with Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, who will join during pregame warmups ahead of the Commodores’ matchup with LSU.

College GameDay coverage will begin at 9 a.m. in Athens, Georgia, on ESPN.
