Transfer Portal Roundup: Week Eight

Penn State football can’t seem to catch a break.

The Nittany Lions dropped their fourth straight game this past weekend, falling to Iowa 25-24 in late fashion.

While the current squad continues to look for consistency, several former Penn State football players made an impact in week eight with their new squad.

Beau Pribula, Missouri

Former Penn State quarterback Beau Pribula threw for 252 yards and ran for 28 more to help Missouri beat Auburn 23-17 in double overtime. Despite being picked off twice — including on Missouri’s final drive of regulation — Pribula capped the comeback with a 3-yard rushing touchdown in the second overtime to put the Tigers ahead for good.

Cam Miller, Rutgers

The former cornerback tallied two tackles and picked off Dante Moore in Rutgers’ 56-10 loss over the weekend. His pick came midway through the third quarter with the Scarlett Knights trailing 49-3.

Harrison Wallace III, Ole Miss

Ole Miss wide receiver Harrison Wallace III caught four passes for 39 yards in the Rebels’ 43-35 loss to No. 9 Georgia.

Keyvone Lee, UNLV

UNLV running back Keyvone Lee carried the ball nine times for 24 yards in the Rebels’ 56-31 loss to Boise State.

Mekhi Flowers, Akron

Former Penn State defensive back Mekhi Flowers finished with three tackles, two of them solo, in Akron’s 42-28 loss to Ball State on Saturday.

Joseph Mupoyi & Smith Vilbert, North Carolina

North Carolina defensive linemen Josephy Mupoyi and Smith Vilbert saw action in North Carolina’s 21-18 loss to Cal on Friday. Mupoyi finished with one solo tackle, and Smith added one assisted tackle.

Tyrece Mills, UConn

Former Penn State defensive back Tyrece Mills notched one solo tackle as UConn took down Boston College 38-23.
