Former Penn State Football Linebacker Kobe King Claimed By New York Jets Off Waivers

Former Penn State football linebacker Kobe King has been claimed off waivers by the New York Jets, the team announced Friday afternoon.

The Minnesota Vikings waived King on Thursday afternoon after drafting him with the 201st overall pick in April. He suited up four times for the team in 2025 and registered four tackles.

King played four seasons in Happy Valley, totaling 200 total tackles, 18.5 tackles-for-loss, 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble across 46 games.
