Penn State Women’s Volleyball Adds Four Recruits On National Signing Day

Penn State women’s volleyball signed all four of its committed players from the class of 2026 on National Signing Day, in the start of the signing period.

Two outside hitters, a middle blocker, and a setter will join the Nittany Lions next fall.

Kendall Northern

Kendall Northern is a middle blocker hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio. During her time at the Summit Country Day School, Northern was named the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association District 16 Division V Player of the Year.

She is the No. 13 recruit nationally and the No. 1 recruit in Ohio, according to Prep Dig. Northern originally announced her commitment to Penn State on August 20, 2024.

Haley Burgdorf

Haley Burgdorf is an outside hitter from St. Charles, Illinois. At St. Charles North High School, Burgdorf earned Illinois Volleyball Coaches Association and Great Lakes Volleyball All-State First-Team accolades.

She is the No. 29-ranked recruit nationally, and the No. 1 recruit in Illinois according to Prep Dig. Burgdorf originally announced her commitment to the Nittany Lions on July 22, 2024.

Danielle Whitmire

Danielle Whitmire is a setter hailing from Prosper, Texas. During her time at Walnut Grove High School, Whitmire was selected to the AVCA All-Region team and totaled over 1,800 assists and 1,000 attacks.

She is the No. 4 recruit in the country, and the No. 2 recruit in Texas according to Prep Dig. Whitmire originally announced her commitment to the Nittany Lions on June 16, 2024.

Finley Krystkowiak

Finley Krystokowiak is an outside hitter from San Diego, California. During her time at Torrey Pines High School, Krystokowiak was a USA All-American, part of the All California Interscholastic Federation team, and is currently a nominee for MaxPreps National Volleyball Player of the Year.

She is the No. 10-ranked recruit nationally, and the No. 3-ranked recruit in California according to Prep Dig. Krystokowiak originally announced her commitment to Penn State on June 17, 2024.
