CATA Launches Annual Food Drive For Local Food Banks

The annual Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) food drive is back, folks.

Donation boxes will be available on all CATA vehicles until December 15. Riders can donate any canned or non-perishable food items to support local families and community members this holiday season.

If you’d like to donate, but don’t ride the bus, there will also be a donation box at CATA’s customer service center located at 108 E. Beaver Ave.

All donations collected will be given to Lion’s Pantry and the State College Food Bank.

“Our annual food drive is an event that we look forward to every year because it’s a chance for our employees and our riders to come together to give back and support our neighbors,” Todd Horsley, CATA’s chief executive officer, said in a release.

“Every can, every box adds up and makes a real difference.”
