Kaytron Allen Surpasses Evan Royster As Penn State Football’s All-Time Leading Rusher

He’s done it, folks!

Penn State running back Kaytron Allen is now Penn State’s all-time leading rusher with 3,954 career rushing yards. He overtook Evan Royster’s previous record of 3,932 against Nebraska with a 160-yard performance on Saturday. Allen broke the record with a 3-yard rush early in the fourth quarter. He added two touchdowns on his Senior Day.

In a historic season, Allen has rattled off 1,077 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on 188 carries, leading the team in all three categories. He currently holds a 5.7 yards per carry average, which stands as a career high.

In his career, Allen has never averaged less than five yards per carry in a season.

Additionally, his two touchdowns against the Cornhuskers now have him tied with Lydell Mitchell for third in Penn State’s all-time career rushing touchdowns list with 38. His teammate, Nick Singleton, tied Saquon Barkley’s 43-touchdown mark with two of his own against Nebraska.

Allen also tied Charlie Pittman for No. 9 on Penn State’s single-season rushing touchdown list.
