Former Penn State Football Commit Julian Peterson Flips To North Carolina

Former Penn State football class of 2026 three-star safety commit Julian Peterson has committed to North Carolina, per Rivals. Peterson decommitted from the Nittany Lions on October 22.

Peterson is ranked as the No. 9 player in New Jersey, No. 46 cornerback in the class of 2026, and No. 600 player in the nation, per the 247 Composite rankings. He joins Jaziel Hart as a former Penn State cornerback commit set to join Bill Belichick in North Carolina. Former Penn State athlete commit David Davis also flipped to the ACC program.

Peterson took official visits to Wisconsin and Clemson in November, but ultimately ended up with the Tar Heels.
