Penn State Football Long Snapper Tyler Duzansky Named Patrick Mannelly Award Finalist

Penn State football long snapper Tyler Duzansky was named a Patrick Mannelly Award finalist, the award announced Monday night.

The award annually recognizes college football’s best long snapper and is named after former Duke and Chicago Bears long snapper Patrick Mannelly.

Duzansky is serving as one of Penn State’s team captains in 2025. He’s been the glue behind Ryan Barker and Gabe Nwosu’s stellar seasons as specialists. Barker is 15-of-16 on field goals and 43-of-44 on extra points this year. Nwosu has put together one of the best Penn State punting seasons ever, averaging 46.1 yards per punt with seven inside the opponent’s 10-yard line and 10 punts of over 50 yards.

Duzansky is Penn State’s first finalist since Chris Stoll won the award in 2022. Georgia’s Beau Gardner and North Carolina’s Spencer Triplett are the other two finalists.

The winner will be awarded at a ceremonial dinner on December 13 in Lake Bluff, Illinois, benefitting Bernie’s Book Bank, a children’s book drive.
