Report: Penn State Football To Hire Cincinnati Director Of Player Personel Jack Griffith As Assistant General Manager

Penn State football is expected to hire the current Cincinnati football director of player personnel, Jack Griffith, as assistant General Manager, per Chris Hummer. Griffith will work alongside new hire Derek Hoodjer.

Griffith has previously worked at Ohio State and was with the New York Jets. At Cincinnati, he played a key role in bringing in talent to Clifton. He landed several high-profile transfers in his time at Cincinnati, including All-Big 12 First Team tight end Joe Royer and All-Big 12 Honourable Mention linebackers Jared Bartlett and Jake Golday.

His ability to land key transfers and manage Penn State’s roster will be critical for how the team looks over the next few years. With current players already starting to enter the portal, Penn State needs to have a big offseason and obtain talent through the transfer portal.
