Alumni Association To Engage Thousands Of Alumni, Fans In NYC For Bowl Festivities

With Penn State football set to take on Clemson at noon on Saturday, December 27, in the Pinstripe Bowl, the Penn State Alumni Association is hosting two Roar Tour fan events for Penn Staters: a welcome party the night before the game and a pregame tailgate the following morning. Both events are official pick-up locations for Penn Staters to grab their game day shakers and have limited spots remaining. The welcome party is free to attend, though registration is required, and Penn Staters are encouraged to sign up for the pregame tailgate before early registration pricing ends.

Fans also can sign up for a game day bus trip from State College. Only eight seats remain, and the travel package includes admission to the pregame tailgate, an official Pinstripe Bowl souvenir, event lanyard and credential, and more. Additionally, Penn Staters not traveling to the game can still get in on the fun by attending watch parties hosted by Alumni Association chapters.

Visit the Alumni Association’s game day page for the latest details.

Roar Tour Welcome Party

Set for 6-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at T-Squared Social, the welcome party is an official pick-up spot for game day shakers and will feature bowling, darts, golf simulators, and more. The Alumni Association is hosting the Roar Tour Welcome Party in partnership with the Nittany Lion Club and its New York City Chapter.

Sign up today for this free event and arrive early, as space is limited.

Roar Tour Pregame Tailgate

This exclusive pregame tailgate features a reserved area for Penn Staters — VIP access means no waiting at the door — and a hot breakfast buffet to fuel you up before kickoff. Plus, the Penn State Pep Band and Spirit Squad, including the Nittany Lion, will perform at the ultimate Penn State meet-up. Game day shakers also will be available to take into the stadium, located across the street.

Travel Packages

Limited seats remain for a game day bus trip from State College (the Harrisburg game day bus sold out). The bus will arrive in time for the Roar Tour Pregame Tailgate, which is included in the travel package, and return following the game. Also available is a one-night, land-only package. Included in the packages are a Pinstripe Bowl souvenir, event lanyard and credential, and more.

Chapter Watch Parties

With more than 100 Alumni Association chapters, there’s always a group of Penn Staters ready to add you to their cheering squad. Visit the Alumni Association’s website to see a list of watch parties that are scheduled and check back for updates closer to the game. Penn Staters also can find their local chapter online

Watching from Home

If you’ll be cheering on the Nittany Lions from home, make sure to follow the Alumni Association on Facebook and Instagram for on-site coverage of the Roar Tour events and any updates that alumni will need to know.
