PJ Duke Wins Big Ten Freshman Wrestler Of The Week

After a dominant performance against Wyoming, PJ Duke has won Penn State’s first weekly honor of the wrestling season, being named Big Ten Wrestling Freshman of the Week on Thursday.

Duke recorded one of four Penn State falls against the Cowboys, pinning No. 23 Jared Hill at 4:09. Duke has now moved to 6-0 on the season with five falls.

Duke and the rest of the Nittany Lions will look to continue their undefeated season when they head to Nashville on Saturday, December 20, for the 2025 Journeyman Collegiate Duals. They first take on North Dakota State at 5 p.m., then will go against Stanford at 7 p.m. Both duals will be broadcast on FloWrestling.
