Podward State: Season 13, Episode 4 Ft. Penn State’s 54th Nittany Lion: Mason Reber

In the fourth episode of season 13 of Podward State, hosts Ryan Smith, Ally Eaton, and Michael Siroty were joined by Penn State’s 54th Nittany Lion, Mason Reber.

For the past three years, Mason has brought the Nittany Lion magic to life, and we wanted to hear the behind-the-scenes of what it’s like being every Penn Stater’s best friend. We got to know Mason as Mason, and hear about all of his experiences: From becoming the lion, to gamedays, to interacting with THON children and families, and all of the events and appearances he has that people might not know!

Mason shared with us all of the emotions he’s experienced over the past few weeks and what it’s meant to be the Nittany Lion for the majority of his college career. On behalf of everyone here at Podward State and Onward State, we want to thank Mason for embodying what it means to be a Penn Stater and bringing joy and smiles to Penn State students, alumni, family, and friends everywhere. The 55th Nittany Lion has some pretty big paws to fill!
