Report: Penn State Football Defensive End Jaylen Harvey Plans To Enter Transfer Portal

Penn State football defensive end Jaylen Harvey plans to enter the transfer portal when the window opens in January, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Harvey has three years of eligibility remaining.

The Gaithersburg, Maryland, native redshirted his true freshman season in 2024, appearing in five games and notching two tackles and one tackle-for-loss. In his redshirt freshman season, Harvey appeared in all but two games, finishing with six total tackles in a depth role on Deion Barnes’ defensive line.

The edge threat was a late addition to the Class of 2024, committing as the 25th recruit of the group. Harvey was rated as a four-star talent playing in the DMV, a region Penn State dominated on the recruiting trail under former head coach James Franklin.

Harvey is the 18th Nittany Lion that is expected to enter the transfer portal in January.
