Former Iowa State Offensive Lineman Trevor Buhr Transfers To Penn State Football

Former Iowa State guard Trevor Buhr has committed to transfer to Penn State football, he announced Sunday. Buhr has two years of eligibility remaining.

Buhr is the No. 11 interior lineman in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports’ transfer rankings. The Washington, Missouri, native was a three-star recruit as a member of the class of 2023.

The 6’4″, 325-pound lineman started 12 games over the past two seasons for the Cyclones, allowing zero sacks in that span. Buhr received All-Big 12 honorable mention for his efforts in 2025.

With Vega Ioane declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft, Buhr will compete for a starting spot on the interior offensive line this offseason.
