Report: Former Colorado Defensive Lineman Alexander McPherson Transfers To Penn State Football

Former Colorado defensive lineman Alexander McPherson has committed to transfer to Penn State football, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

McPherson appeared in 10 games as a true freshman in 2025, recording 16 tackles, five quarterback hurries, 0.5 sacks, and a blocked punt for Colorado.

The 6’5″, 240-pound edge was a three-star recruit and the No. 118 defensive lineman and No. 138 player from Florida as a recruit, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He originally chose Colorado over Oklahoma State, NC State, Indiana, and Michigan State.

He entered the transfer portal on December 19 before committing to Penn State. He is the 22nd player from the portal to make the switch to Happy Valley so far.
